Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” - Pablo Picasso

Jamie didn't grow up to become an artist, but rather never stopped being one. She is currently a designer at Think. Marketing in Kelowna, B.C., where she uses her creative talents to help bring clients' visions to life in the form of branding, graphic design and illustration.

While she started out as a traditional artist, Jamie eagerly leapt into the world of digital media & design at an early age while realizing the internet's potential for communication in a new and exciting way. She began her formal Fine Arts education at the College of New Caledonia in her hometown of Prince George, B.C., and eventually moved to Kelowna in 2006 to continue her education at the Centre for Arts and Technology, earning a diploma in Digital Media & Design.

What once started out as a hobby making websites and computer graphics is now a fulltime career, but she also hasn't forgotten her beginning in traditional art; in her spare time, Jamie works on a variety of personal creative endeavours that include painting, illustration, sewing, photography, crafts and more.

She has a great interest in the world around her and finds both people, animals and all of nature to be great inspiration to her creative works. She also shares in the vision for a sustainable future and keeps up with global events and concerns. One of her big goals in life is to help make the world a better place in whatever way she can; Jamie plans on using her creative skill and love for creative collaboration to help visually communicate important ideas to the public about the environment, social concerns and sustainability. After all, sometimes a picture can be worth a thousand words.
