We welcome members of our local community and our international friends to participate in making the Avalon vision happen. While becoming actively involved, community members are afforded wonderful opportunities to learn and share with others of like-mind, practice new skills and exercise their creativity. Whether assisting with organizing a festival, building stage sets, planting trees or extending a hand to those in need, Avalon volunteers make a difference. Start your own progressive "neighbourhood" movement, and let your friends and neighbours know what Avalon members can achieve together!

To participate in our volunteer program, please register as a community member and send us a resume or description of your background and current interests.  People of all ages and abilities can apply to become a volunteer. Those who dedicate a significant amount of time will be recognized on our website.

Community members may also make material contributions towards Avalon projects, branch initiatives, and the enhancement of our Avalon Retreat Centre. Until the Avalon Phoenix Foundation is established, we will not be able to issue charitable tax receipts; however, we will acknowledge significant gifts under our Giving Thanks section.  We also invite our membership to consider gifts of land that could be protected under a future Avalon Land Trust for environmental protection, heritage conservation or sustainable development purposes.
