Doug Manning has pursued his passion for education and self-management in the public and private sectors.  For the first 20 years of his professional life, Doug was a teacher, counsellor, and district administrator of career development programs in the Central Okanagan School District.  In 1994, he co-founded Bridges Transitions, a well-known company in North America for career exploration software, and was its CEO and/or President until August 2006.  In 1995, he was the OV 63 Community Leader of the Year.  In 2001, he was Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for eBusiness.

Doug is presently providing educational consulting services to districts in the U.S. and Canada.  He also sits on the External Community Advisory Committee for the University of BC Okanagan.  He has a passion for rugby and inspiring movie clips (see his book and website entitled Reel Life Wisdom).  As an Avalon Advisor, he helps guide the development of our educational tools and programs to transform people's lives on personal and community levels.
